Why I build

After my brother died, my shop is where I found peace. My builds are imperfect, just like me. I build because through my craft I have found peace and purpose. I value craftsmanship, ingenuity, and beauty in the hand made.

Madera Marker made from 1600 year old Burl on a 102 year old course. Playing with history. Markers available with your choice of wood, but custom personalizations are closed. #golfislife #ballmarker #golf #woodworking #handmade
Over 20 different species to choose from with some of the rarest and most exotic woods in the world! Ping me and let’s get something dialed in for the golfer in your life in time for Father’s Day! #woodworking #golf #custom #handmade #fathersday
Excited to get to this stage in this build! New Zealand Paua shell rosette and Barrel-o-Monkey inlays (all hand-cut) in Asian Satinwood, Dessert Ironwood, Pale Moon Ebony, Buck Eye Burl, and Madagascar Rosewood climbing an African Wenge spline/neck/fretboard ‘tree’. #custom #handmade #woodworking #boutique #ukulele @barlowguitars 🤗
Client wanted his #boyscouts hiking stick from his childhood restored after his kids left it out in the elements for some time. It was also time to add some placards from his son’s time at camp, honoring legacy and tradition. #woodworking #custom #restoration #legacy
No matter what we’re doing, everyday at sunset we meet on the deck that we built together and hold hands as the sun goes down. It’s become my favorite time of the day. #intentionalliving #marriage #partners #happiness #peace
Amboyna Burl from my dude @shodiq_88! The grain in this is just stunning. If it sounds half as good as it looks I’ll be thrilled. #wood #woodworking #luthier #ukulele #handmade
2 minute shop tour. Welcome to my world!! #woodshop #garage #handmade #custom #ukulele
I love new layout days because it means something significant enough was added to the kit that it warrants a redesign. #woodworking #garage #diy #handmade #tools @woodpeckers_tools @besseytools_northamerica @ridgidtools @empiretoolsaus @huskytools
I understand the assignment. #woodworking #handmade #custom #makersgonnamake #levelup

Sometimes you gotta get outside of the shop for some sunshine therapy with good friends. Played a ProAm at Druid’s Glen in Covington, WA yesterday; tied for 6th as an amateur individual, and took 4th as a team so I’m in the money! #golfislife #golf #woodworking #handmade #bespoke
I am one of the best boutique builders in the world. You just haven’t heard of me until now. Shout out to @medallionmakerbranding medallionmakerbranding for bringing my mark to life! #woodworking #handmade #ukulele #custom #bespoke
I got my hands on some offcuts of some of the most amazing ancient redwood over the weekend. We’re talking like sprouting around the fall of the Roman Empire ancient. What an honor to be able to work with material that is 1600 years old. #woodworking #boutique #custom #ukulele #handmade

Bridge dry fit. We’re soooooo close! #woodworking #custom #ukulele #luthier #purpose
End graft inlay work. #luthier #ukulele #woodworking #purpose #custom
His name was Jose. I miss him everyday. #grief #healing #purpose #luthier #woodworking
Here’s an authentic glimpse into my process. Wood has memory and I connect deeply with my builds before they leave my shop. Built with intention. #ukulele #woodworking #purpose #passion #luthier
I had me an idea when I was finishing the headstock and neck last night. I had juuuust enough Paua shell left and cut some ornate washers to dress up the tuners. It’s the little things, I tell ya. #luthier #woodworking #passion #purpose #ukulele
Every step of this build I complete validates the design vision and makes me more eager to get this into my client’s hands. Took some resilient perseverance to start this body over after the drum sander chose violence early in the commission so to say I’m proud of this body of work is an understatement. #woodworking #custom #bespoke #luthier #ukulele
Used CA glue to install binding on this build. I HATE scraping squeeze out of TB3 so I gave this a go and found it to be really manageable. Also, African Wenge slivers are super painful. That is all, carry on 🫡 #ukulele #woodworking #purpose #passion #luthier
Bending up some African Wenge for binding! #ukulele #woodworking #luthier #purpose #passion
Nothing to see here, folks. #ukulele #woodworking #passion #purpose #luthier
Looking for my people!! This is your opportunity to lock in before my wait times are measured in years, not months. I have 1 spot left for a Christmas commission build, so if you want it don’t doddle! #woodworking #ukulele #purpose #christmasiscoming #ifyoubuildittheywillcome
Wanna hear my soul leave my body? Stay to the end. Volume up. #livealittle #rollercoaster #metas #woodworking #ukulele
This is Monkey Business, my first commission build for a 10 year old little girl named Myra, who loves monkeys. Each inlay represents a member of her family, all climbing together up their home tree. Built with intention. #ukulele #woodworking #custom #purpose #commission
